Restore Inner West Line

Roydon Ng is a public transport advocate. Representing many communities in Western and South West Sydney, he has been campaigning for the reinstatement of the Liverpool/Bankstown to City via Regents Park train service and improvements to public transport since 2013.

Berala, Regents Park, Sefton, Chester Hill, Leightonfield, Villawood, Carramar, Birrong, Yagoona have all lost train services and a direct route to the City with the 2013 cuts to the Inner West Line.

He is the founder and media spokesperson for the Restore Inner West Line community action group and petition. The Inner West Line until 2013 was the Liverpool/Bankstown to City via Regents Park train.

Over the years, Roydon has fought for the community’s interests in the media, spoken at community meetings, discussed transport issues with various levels of government and formed alliances with other advocacy groups.

He believes that public transport alternatives should be considered prior to the construction of toll roads.
